Lee is 93 years old, he served in world war 1 and the Korean War. He started collecting tattoos at 18 when he joined the Navy. He has collected all his favorite ports (12) commemorated 2 love affairs and got two swallows to help him float after his ship went down. Today we tattooed U.S.S.STRONG his favorite ship he was a gunner on. Next week we will add gun 41 on his stomach. We also tattooed "baby John" his fallen comrade. Stories were told, laughs were had, tattoos were made. You want a good story sit down with a guy whose tattoos are twice your age. It was a truly awesome experience, it made me proud to call myself a tattooer, to pay homage to those who came before me, to sit down and be humbled by this mans stories made me realize how amazing this life can be. If I'm half as cool as Lee at his age I would be just fine. On top of it all even after a almost fatal car accident where he was walking and got hit by a car at 55 mph. They told him he would never walk again, not only does he walk well, he has a clean bill of health. Anyway any week anywhere I got time for Lee, he's alright in my book and I'm honored to call him a friend.
