as always good will and good fortune to you and yours
thanks for your time.

creepy crawlies don't bite, they entertain the ghosts

sooooooooooo, it's a bit late so i find this piece rather fitting for the post. I put this little guy on Hartman, aside from being a rad dude he protects this awesome country. The creepy crawly, jester to those who go click and clack, tip and tap amongst the quiet still night. Said by old polish miners first in the hole at day break the roaches and creepy crawlies would scurry at oil lanterns light due to fact thier eyes hurt for they have been up all night dancing with mischief entertaining ghouls, ghosts, and the unexplained. Hartman has named this little fella Carl, fitting for a jester to entertain all the ghouls and goons that may cross our man Hartmans path. Thanks for your time and as always good will and fortune to you and yours.

Pin ups and horse shoes.

So went a bit out of character on this one, My buddy Luis wanted a Betty Page piece with my twist. He wanted to incorporate cheetah print and a vegas vibe. I wanted to pull off something different on all levels, as far as the Betty Page I wanted to stick pretty close to his reference but enhance and tweak it a bit. I threw in the horse shoe to give it a traditional vibe and some shimmer diamonds. As far as the cheetah print I didn't want to do the same old thing, I added a couple different browns and randomized the pattern a bit and it turned out rather well. As always Good Will and Good Fortune.

New York Frank a stand up guy.

Frank came in awhile back, he was sent to me from another client. He got a memorial for his dad and his love for New York his hometown. We hit it off from the get go, Frank is a positive, well traveled, seasoned man. He has some of the best stories to boot, and one hell of a listener, it was if have been friends for years. Anyway Frank's wife's nickname for our hero is "cranky Frankie" she had a magnet made up and it sits on the fridge everyday reminding him how much she loves our pal Frank. A couple weeks back Frank came to me with the idea of getting a tattoo for his wife, he wanted something similar to the magnet she made. The image resembled an old playboy comic style. I was totally into the idea and ran with it, I made the guy look like Frank and gave him NY monogrammed swim shorts and a nice cold one in a mug resting on his belly. He was stoked on the drawing so we planted it on his right peck "so shes can always see it" he chuckles. The world needs a lot more of guys like Frank, happy go lucky, hard working, enjoyer of life. Thanks Frank can't wait for the next one.
